Emmy Awards 2008 - Die Gewinner
Der große Abend der Kleinen.
Als großer Abräumer des Abends darf wohl "30 Rock" gefeiert werden. Die Serie wurde mit 4 Emmys geehrt. Unter anderem für "Beste Comedyserie 2008" und "Bestes Drehbuch einer Comedyserie". Die Serie mit dem eher ungewöhnlichen Konzept handelt von dem Geschehen hinter den Kulissen einer fiktiven Comedy Show. In Deutschland hat der neue Pay TV Sender TNT die Rechte erstanden und wird die Serie im Januar austrahlen.
Ein weiterer Gewinner war die Serie "Mad Men" des Kabelsenders AMC. Die Serie konnte einen Emmy in der Königsklasse "Beste Dramaserie" gewinnnen und einen weiteren in der Kategorie "Bestes Drehbuch für eine Dramaserie". "Mad Men" spielt in den 60er Jahren und handelt vom dem Leben des Don Drapers, der Creative Director bei der Werbeagentur Sterling Cooper ist .Der Emmy in der Kategorie "Bester Hauptdarsteller" ging an Bryan Cranston von AMCs "Breaking Bad".
Das weibliche Pendant ging an Glenn Close von der, in Deutschland gefloppten, Serie "Damages" des Senders FX.
