Hey, guys. Last night we patched The Cave to fix a bug causing low framerates.
The patch fixes the game if you just bought it, or if you haven't adjusted your display settings, so for most of you, please do this: Simply go to The Cave's display settings, and choose the video mode with the highest refresh rate. You want something like "1920 x 1080 x 60 Hz", and do not want "1920 x 1080 x 24 Hz".
The issue was that the game was choosing the video mode with the lowest refresh rate instead of the highest refresh rate. For people with monitors/TVs with 24, 25, or 30 Hz modes, the game would select that, and the framerate would often drop to half of that refresh rate.
A lot of monitors/TVs report < 60 Hz modes, and it's common in monitors that are connected via HDMI.
