Lars von Trier wrote this stunning film directed by
Thomas Vinterberg about a pacifist teenage misfit (Jamie
Bell) in a mining town who chances upon a gun and
discovers its power and allure. The leader of a band of
outcasts who call themselves The Dandies, the boy
convinces his posse to dedicate themselves to spreading
the word about peace and weaponry -- a contradiction
