Snakes are everywhere; they have populated almost all areas
of the planet, except the poles and only a few islands, sur-
viving to the most extreme climates. Their origins go back
100.000 years ago, by far before the arrival of the Modern
Man, and now there are almost 2.700 different species. Some
of them are innocuous, other lethal and their charm comes
from the clash between attraction and repulsion and it is
perfectly epitomised by the mystic power that many religions
ascribe to these creatures. The programme, with cg animation
and exceptional footage, describes reptiles' behaviours,
comparing characteristics, sizes, speed and skills of the
various species. From the green anaconda, one of the biggest
in the world, who can even swallow an alligator, up to the
legendary and mythological characters like the Quetzalcoatl,
the wing snake of the pre-Columbian civilisations.
