Only a few brave volcanologists, together with their crews,
dare hiking world most active volcanoes, to shoot their
spectacular eruptions, and to study their influence on men
and environment. This intriguing dvd shows daring scientists
in Japan where the Unzen volcano threats opening a crater
right in the hearth of a town. Then White Island, a volcanic
isle 50 km off New Zealand cost, where a volcano burst only
six months after the shootings. In Indonesia we can see the
crater of Anak Krakatoa, i.e. Krakatoa's son, the terrible
volcano that came out from the waters that covered the
caldera after the incredible eruption in 1883. And then the
Hawaii, for a close encounter with underwater lava streams
and volcanoes in the deepest sea. And of course the Etna
where one of the most spectacular eruptions never seen before
was filmed. 100 minutes of real emotions that however want
also to bring a message: in spite of volcanologists' efforts
and of technological progress, many people are still
threatened by such raging eruptions.
