FAREWELLS
A little over two years and 500+ releases later, it's time to call
it quits.
This isn't our last release. We still have Taggart: Root of Evil
Set Disc Two, as well as Barnaby Jones Season One Disc One.
Those two, however, will be our last releases. That is, unless
someone decides they want to do it before us.
We want to thank everyone who got us started with ripping, because
without that initial guidance and support, we wouldn't be where we
are today (on welfare, living in Section 8 housing).
We don't want to mention any names or specifics, but we do want to
thank those of you who allowed us to distribute our fine releases.
You have been gracious and it will not soon be forgotten
Personal thanks go to the friends we've made and experiences we've
shared together. Additionally, you helped make this worthwhile.
No homo.
Originally we started knowing only the basics, doing iNT releases
because we wanted to learn the process. That hobby turned into
somewhat of a passion/addiction. Since our first releases, we've
made an efort to continuously learn more about the ins and outs of
ripping DVDs. It's more than just copying the disc, reencoding,
packing, and releasing it. Although some groups might argue that.
Granted, a lot of our releases are shit shows that nobody should
actually take the time to watch, but we did it anyway.
Also, because of our confidence in our ripping abilities, and the
fact that we want to provide choice to people, we began releasing
the complete disc image (DVD9) along with the standard DVDR.
This is, A. for people who want to rip it themselves, B. for people
who want Special Features or other shit that might get stripped,
and C. for anyone who thinks we fucked up and wants to proper us.
In 500+ releases, we have only been nuked three times. Two of
those nukes were dupes, which, due to impatience and negligence,
we didn't check before releasing. The other nuke was technically
a valid nuke, as a PPF patch would have sufficed, but that's like
putting a Band-Aid on a broken arm. We do shit right, ya dig.
The following groups earned our respect, both personally and as
worthy competitors, and we wanted to acknowledge them:
ToF, JFKDVD, INSECTS
These groups consistently provide quality releases, aren't lazy,
and hold themselves to higher standards. We appreciate this.
This is not to say that other groups don't have good rips or high
standards. We've just become accustomed to good things coming
from these individuals.
The following groups are clowns, have no respect for the game (or
themselves), don't know what they're doing and have bitch ways:
FList, HOMOSiTv, NTX
There are many more, but we're not trying to blow their shit up.
Friends of friends and all.
If you didn't make it on one of these lists, either we aren't
familiar enough with your rips, don't know you, or don't care.
Game Recognize Game, and you lookin' kinda unfamiliar right now.
The current DVDR standards are a joke. Then again, lazy rippers
make lazy rules.
What you need to do is take a look at the 2007 & 2009 rules, and
make the proper adjustments. Also, what good are rules (samples,
directory naming, region free, etc..) if groups get away with not
following them? Either have rules and enforce them, or don't.
Be consistent.
You will notice if you look at the signatures, there are maybe
THREE respectable groups listed. As we stated previously, they
tend to hold themselves to higher standards, so their names being
on the ruleset doesn't make the rules any more valid.
It's a time / quality tradeoff. You spend more time properly
doing something, you end with a higher quality product. If you
do it quickly, you get it done faster. What's more important?
To sum it all up, we respect those who earned it, had fun with
a select few, learned a lot (though most of it useless in real life
situations), and all the rest of you can eat a dick with AIDS on
the tip.
Enjoy The Show
