Based on the popular anime series, Mandatory Happiness is a visual
novel that presents a unique vision of the future.
In a dystopian, futuristic Tokyo, everyone's mental state is
carefully monitored and controlled. Potential criminals are
identified early, and some choose to work for the authorities by
infiltrating the underworld with their unique skills. These are the
Enforcers. Each Enforcer is paired with a non-criminal Investigator
to balance their team.
The story follows two officers of MWPSB Criminal Investigation
Department Division 1. Nadeshiko Kugatachi is a totally logical
inspector with amnesia. Her opposite, Takuma Tsurugi, is an angry
Enforcer searching for a missing childhood friend.
This unlikely pair of detectives have to work together to solve
complicated and deadly cases leading to the real enemy - a notorious |
hacker whose crime is giving people unsanctioned happiness.
