As a born criminal you have the ability to hijack an car on the street,
whether they are parked or stopped at a red light. This is what made the
first two games fun, but now it is a completely different experience in
the full 3D world. When not in a car, you have a good range of arsenal at
your disposal to get the job done, whether its putting an end to misery
of innocent pedestrians, beating pimps in purple suits and looting their
money, or rigging a car of a fellow crook to blow when started. The story
is driven through the missions you get when working for the mafia, and
each are quite varied. You also have the option of not following going to
the mafia for jobs, and instead earn cash by being just a taxi driver or
help out the police by catching runaway criminals much like yourself. You
have the freedom, and in GTA3 you have a lot of it.
