Lead a squad of 18 paratroopers behind enemy lines in this strategy-
based simulation of squad level combat based on the D-Day landings in
Normandy. Controlling everything from attacks on the enemy to finding
your next meal, 101: Airborne Invasion of Normandy is thinking man's
skirmish combat.
Multi-play via modem, LAN, or Internet (2 players only)
238 individual maps make up the Normandy "World". In addition there
are 9 campaigns each containing 42 maps
Up to 21 missions in any one of the 9 campaigns, pitting your squad
against up to 140 Germans per campaign, and giving hours of game time
Choose your team from 82 unique soldiers (48 paratroopers, 24 Germans,
10 "secondary" characters) each individually proficient in 13
different areas of combat.
Recognisable by his unique voice, each paratrooper is also unique in
his abilities and personality
Initiative-Based Phased Action combines the detail of turn-based
gaming with aspects of ease of use of real-time gaming engines
Damage modelling based on WWII studies of wounds and damage
inflicted, accurately represents wounds tracked to 47 different body
locations, affecting troopers appropriately.
Over 1400 soldier animations and over 40 3D cut scene animations.

Parachuting into enemy-held landing zones
Separation of your squad and your equipment
Being lost !
Finding food
Running out of ammunition
Fighting the Germans without support

To install this game, simply unzip all the files into a temporary
directory, create a directory to put the game in (e.g. C:\101), then
unACE the game into that directory, using the ACE32.EXE supplied:
ace32 x -y 101air.c01 c:\101\
NOTE: You must have the trailing backslash on your target directory
or ACE will not extract the game properly.
After the game has been uncomprssed, just run 101.EXE to play.
