Ok, so here's the story. Not so far into the future, a comet is careening
towards the Earth, but rather than obliterating all human life (which
would have made a rather short game), it instead passed close by and
littered the surface of the planet with meteorites. Then, research staff
who were assigned to examine the meteorites mysteriously stop responding
to communications, as do police and military units sent in to investigate.
It's time for you, you lucky thing, as a member of an elite strike force
to go in there and sort it out.
Game Features:
Missions range from your typical scientist rescue to taking alien-held
bases, as you attempt to reclaim the world from the slimy invaders. The
most appealing ingredient is the solidity of the world you interact with.
The motion of the camera can be disconcerting to begin with, but it
gradually grows on you, and the fluidity of movement, weapon-firing,
and sniper-functions truly draw you into the game.
The graphics engine boasts directional lighting, dynamic color
illumination, volumetric fog, realistic water surfaces, and figures
comprising up to 1000 polygons, wrapped in a "stunning particle system
explosion system." In practice, it all looks very nice, although on this
mid-range system, there was a slight issue with the detail resolution
dropping off noticeably hard a few metres ahead of you!

Copylok. You will need advanced knowledge of PE File Formats.
- coding tools in C/C++/ASM (you have HARD CORE in depth knowledge
of the Win32-API, you can code by given specifications etc.)
And to understand and develope methods like API Hooking.
- If you know the difference between reindexing and unpacking
large files. Or if you can identify ANY major file formats by
looking at the hex byte code of the header. Or if you can tell
the difference between MPQ & HAPI.
And you have a 30k plus internet download link speed.
And can code your own tools to rip apart the above technologies
(to show you fully understand them) then apply at once.
- making trainers for newly released games (menu driven, must work
in Win9x and Win2K etc.)
- coding dynamic/generic intros/installers
(send URL links to samples of your previous work.)
- supplying the group (for free) with useful things like shells on
fast (T3) linux/unix-boxes, hardware etc. Not for spreading
releases.
