Take on the role of an entrepreneur in the year 1900. Experience the new
industrial era marked by the beginning of mass production, and steer your
company through turbulent times right up to the age of information.

From lumberjack to industry mogul - Your task is not easy, as you alone
are responsible for extracting and processing raw materials, selecting a
site, building transportation networks, and overseeing sales and
advertising. But don't worry, as the innovative pop-up menu system, an
interactive tutorial, and the easy-to-understand rules of play all make
it extremely easy for you to get started.
Vehicles - Take command of an entire fleet of vehicles. Lorries, steam
engines, diesel and electric trains, ships and planes - you decide which
vehicles best suit your needs. Don't forget to maintain your vehicles
properly and modernise your fleet from time to time.
Authentic product cycles - You start the game in possession of a
substantial amount of products. As the game progresses, new products
are added each year. You therefore learn the fun way about when products
like nylon were first manufactured on a large scale.
You can manufacture over 150 different products. It's entirely up to you
whether you use your money to produce toys, food, sports equipment,
cars, electronic goods - or make another choice from the wide range
available.
Strategy - Choose the locations of your retail outlets wisely to ensure
that the money comes rolling in. But don't forget your image. You could
soon go to the wall if you stick a steelworks right on a city's doorstep.
However, if there is no alternative location, you can always try
sponsorship as a means of appeasing the locals.
Be careful not to underpay or overpay your employees. Underpaid workers
will go to the barricades and strike.
The stuff of dreams - Finally, after all your successful endeavours, you
can afford your own luxury residence. Find the perfect spot and the most
beautiful palace and bask in the envious looks of your virtual
neighbours. A bit of luxury won't hurt!
Family business - Industry Giant 2 combines the complexity of a top-flight
business simulation with the fun and simplicity of a family board game.
In the process, players young and old alike will gain a fascinating
insight into the exciting development of industry and products during
the twentieth century. When was the first hamburger produced? When did
people first use skateboards? And when did touchtone telephones first
roll off the production line?
New and Innovative Menu System:Innovative menu system - For Industry
Giant 2, the programmers developed a completely new menu system that
gives players the best possible overview without losing any of the
detailed information you would expect in a business simulation. There
are no fixed menu bars to obscure the view of the map. One click of the
mouse in the landscape calls up a menu that provides access to all the
relevant options.
Another click, this time on the right mouse button, and the menu
disappears again. This means that the whole screen can be filled with
the elaborate graphics that enhance the game enjoyment of Industry
Giant 2.
