Combining elements of real-time strategy and space combat, Homeworld 2
delivers the next evolutionary step in gameplay and technology. Cinematic
quality graphics, special effects, rendered ships and an innovative
interface combine to create an immersive 3-D space combat experience.
Note: The first thing everyone will be going to ask is why is this rip a
proper? We could call it "working" or anything else, but let's see what
went wrong with the others. Vace was the first to release a rape of this
game (as far as you consider "uharc a -m3" ripping) with almost everything
removed besides ships and texture data. If you bothered to play it you
have to realize that their rip had no music (only played in some very rare
case cause header wasn't relinked ), no story speech and even all unit
speech removed.

We aren't going to question how ethical it is to remove unit speech from
any rts game since there is no exact rule to prevent it. Unfortunately the
Vace ripper didn't notice that most of the sfx were missing aswell. You
have no ship engine sound, no weapon effects and no explosions.
It's sad to say but lameness did not stop at this point. Myth came a day
later to deliver the very same rip except they bothered to decompress the
big resource file of the game but nothing else was different. At this point
we had to laugh how cheap the Myth ripper had to be to work from the Vace
rip instead of the Iso image. Technically we could call Myth rip stolen
cause they took the fake bigfiles from Vace (EnglishSpeech.big,Music.big)
along with the tagged readme.txt (look for "CAUSE VACE EXCEPT").
No matter what we say, since it cannot change the fact that both release
were raped, it's a shame that the scene still tolerates something like this.
Not that we are expecting anything better anyways. Maybe next time someone
will remove the textures of an fps game? We have yet to experience that.
