Using Warbirds in CFS2
Aircraft
Once installed, you can access the aircraft in FS2002 along side the default
planes. The planes are listed under the manufacture name of:
Abacus Warbirds Extreme
The Type of aircraft are listed as:
- A-10
- F-15
- F-16C - Single Seater
- F-16D - Trainer
The A-10 and B-2 each only have one variation. The F-15 will have 2
variations:
- F-15C Eagle - Single Seat/Defender
- F-15E Strike Eagle - Two Seater
The F-16 C type will have three variations:
- Military Grey
- House Colors
- Tiger
The -16D - Trainer type will have four variations:
- Military Camo-Green
- Military Grey
- IAF
- Tiger
If your engines are not already started in FS, press CTRL + E to start
them. Once you are notified that the engines are started, increase throttle
to take off. As you increase speed, you may need to adjust the trim to keep
your aircraft in level flight.
SPECIAL NOTES:
- To open the Bomb Bay on the B-2, activate the spoiler (typically the
forward-slash key
- Some of the planes will produce an extra amount of thrust when you
activate the Afterburner. This may have to be assigned in the flight sims
Controller Assignemts (its called Reheat/Afterburner)
- Wait for the engies to start completly before attempting to take off. If
you take off too soon, the plane will not go straight down the runway.
Scenery
To access the Diego Garcia scenery in FS2002, simply click the Change button
under Current Location. Now click the New Search button and type:
Diego
In the Airport Name box. Now click the following in the Search Results
window
Diego Garcia Navy
Be sure to check out the scenery at night!
NOTE: PERiOD don't extract the files bevore they compress them, so their
rip has bad compression ratio. We decompress the setup files and use
uharc to compress (lossless compression). Our rip is 12 discs smaller
and include the same files like PERiOD, nothing is ripped.
