Game Notes & Release Information

Tee off with Jack on beautiful courses all over the world. New 3D
golfers - made with a breathtaking 2000 polygons - are the most
lifelike and realistic ever seen in a golf game. Pro golfers were
motion-captured to create incredibly accurate swings.

And, going 3D means you can position the camera anywhere, at any
angle on the course to make shots and watch replays. You can even
line up putts at the ground level for precise aiming.

Match these features up with the stuff that made Jack Nicklaus 4
the #1 golf simulation earlier this year, as well as an award winning
course editor, multiplayer support, Accolade's attention to detail and
you have one hell of a golf game!

Installation Guide & Notes

Installed size of this release is 160Mb.

Q: What was ripped out?
A: 200 megs of Movies, 200 megs of Speech and some courses (coming via
an add-on soon!)

Unzip the zip files into a temporary directory, make a directory to
hold the game in (e.g. C:\jn5), then unrar the RAR files using
the UNRAR.EXE supplied or WINRAR (long-filenames):

unrar x -v -y jack5.001 c:\jn5

Copy the JN5.REG file included in the first disk to the directory you
installed the game to.  Double-Click on JN5.REG to insert registry
keys, (Beowulf wasn't here so there is no pretty setup.exe this time!)

To play the game, run JACK5.EXE

Just like Jack Nicklaus golf 4, you NEED to INSTALL this to C:\JN5
unless your experienced enough to edit registry settings.  If you are,
goto:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/ACCOLADE/JACK NICKLAUS 5/GOLF/INSTALLATION

change the path key to whatever directory you have the game in.

Razor 1911 News & Announcements

Whew, what a day!  Special props to Hybrid for Monkey Island 3!!!
Definitely one of the best titles this year.  Just keep John from
cracking games, and hopefully Hoson will have more time to teach him
p-mode cracking ;)  Also, mad greets fly out to PDM for Test Drive 4.
Good to see Z is still alive and kicking...go rent a movie or
something lamer! :)

Almost forgot, a little note to Divine.  Before ASS-U-ME'ing anything,
get the facts straight.  Your release of Myth crashes after level 5
due to an un-patched cd-check..oopsie!  Release more then 2 titles a
year before ranting and raving at how great you are.

On another note, looks like our favorite plonkers from Hybrid are
teaming up with members from Razor to work on the Christmas 98 Scene
Mag.  We are looking for ideas and articles as well as a theme..send
