Release Notes
Welcome to the dark nightmare future of the 41st Millennium,
the grim era of the Imperium. The battlefield is spread across a thousand
different worlds. Powerful armies of Space Marines, Imperial Guardsmen,
bestial Orks, and Tau warriors are in constant conflict,
unleashing carnage via mechanical war machines, crushing artillery,
and vast starships.
Fire Warrior follows one day in the tumultuous life of a young Tau warrior
who must battle alone against a force that shows no mercy: The Imperium.
The Tau will soon learn there is a darker foe at hand and become entangled
in a frightening story that leads them through an ongoing war.
SPECIAL NOTE:
As you might have seen there has been a couple of "proper" releases lately
from CXZiSO and we would like to comment some on these:
Star.Wars.Jedi.Knight.Jedi.Academy.PROPER.BWClone-CXZiSO
Freedom.Fighters.PROPER.CloneCD-CXZiSO
The first one (Star Wars) was originally released by ourselves and CXZiSO's
reason for their "proper" release where that its an Alcohol 120% image
and that to them is not acceptable as it requires that specific program.
Furthermore they mention that Alcohol only emulates Securom and thats
not acceptable either. Finally they also claim that the Razor release
was UK retail and therefor our release is not compatible with it hence
theirs is 2CDs. Now I dont know what CXZiSO was smoking when they put
their release out but I defenetly want to try some of that!!
Our release is _NOT_ an Alcohol 120% image, its a BlindWrite image and
just by looking at our .nfo you would see that. First its mentioned at
the top and also under Install Notes it says "Burn it with BlindWrite
Suite v4.5.7". Also the Razor ISO release of this game was not UK retail
but US retail and our release works perfectly fine with the Razor one.
I could keep going but I think you get the point already :)
Now Freedom Fighters was also "propered" so lets look at the CXZiSO nfo
for this release. Again they dont think Alcohol 120% is an acceptable
image as it works only with that specific program. Then they go on about
how you cant analyze the subchannel info of an alcohol image as its not
compatible with CDmage or other similar software.
First of all I would say Alcohol is indeed a very legit format for
releasing clones. We and others have been using it for a long time now
and how can CXZiSO justify their BWClone of Mace Griffin if its not okay
to release a clone that depends on one program and that program only ?
You require BlindWrite to burn and play that Mace Griffin so why wouldnt
it be okay to require Alcohol to burn/play other clones?! The whole point
with clones is good burning software so you dont require cracks. Their
second "reason" for their proper was the subchannel thing, if you look
at their .nfo you will see that freedom fighters is protected with
safedisk which is absolutely correct. Now safedisk does NOT use
subchannel, there is no such thing so what is there to analyze?
