Another Scene notice:
The following message is addressed to sceners, site-ops, nukers as well
as the end-users of our releases. It's main purpose is to solve recent
issues about controversial ActiveMARK cracks and clear up any doubts or
misunderstandings about them.
Firstly, some small info about the protection. ActiveMARK is a protection
developed by TryMedia systems, recently acquired by Macrovision (creators
of SafeDisc, Safecast and Video DVD protections). It's used on so-called
digital distributions of the games, while the other popular protections
like StarForce, Tages or SafeDisc are encountered with CD/DVD boxed
versions of the games. ActiveMARK is in a vulgar digest - a DRM license
checking protection and other mentioned before CD/DVD checkers.
What are the main advantages of using ActiveMARK protected EXEs?
A) Speed. The cracking process & testing period is very short so you get
a working crack really fast.
B) Ease of making. No shitting here. It's relatively simple to make a
crack & debug it than for other common protections on the market.

C) Compatibility. In almost all cases and ActiveMARK crack will work both
for the digital distribution and retail one, while the elitecracks will
have a go only on CD/DVD versions.
D) No triggers, no crap. While VAMPYRES had a laugh on "triggers" (is this
really such a funny word?), we were also having some fun watching their
"elite" Railroads! crack crashing on loading "Great Britain" map (no
matter of compatibility modes or different systems, just try and see for
yourself) while the non-scene fix was working flawlessly in all
circumstances. Moreover, VAMPYRES couldn't proof anything wrong with
such cracks, so to sound smart they've made accusations like "creation
of trial files" or "slowdowns". Imagine a situation when you would buy
a digital distribution version of your game & you would want to play it.
You launch the game and - bang! trial files created, you got 30 minutes
left. Nevertheless, you try to ignore this nag & play your newly bought
game. But what? It lags like you've been using a ZX Spectrum and the
mouse cursor responds after 10 seconds at best. If the crack would cause
such problems, the pure, uncracked game would've also. So, what would be
the point of buying such a title anyway? Answer this question for
yourself. We know the Railroads ActiveMARK crack wasn't ours, but it
shows that those PROPERS isn't needed.
Another point is describing ActiveMARK cracks as loaders. As far as we
know, loaders DON'T allow creation of trainers, because they don't fully
remove the protection and thus don't allow debugging it. Please try
running our cracked EXE in a debugger. See, it's possible. And creation
of various trainers is ALSO possible. Talking about very limited
ActiveMARK protection knowledge is now a bit - let's say - unsuitable.
E) Summary. While you can accuse of lame cracking methods, see what's wrong
with you first and then judge others. If your cracking approach is so
elite, why would you UPX-compress your crack? To make it smaller? To hide
something? Or just for kicks?
If you're a site-op or a nuker, test the release first & then make right
decisions about it. There are no rules regarding "leetness" of the crack
so that's why we continue to release ours. 99% of all users actually can't
see the difference between a fully retail published CD/DVD reversed EXE and
a ActiveMARK one. All they actually care about, is, will it be available
FAST and will it work UNPROBLEMATICALLY (*cough* Railroads! v1.10 elite
crack *cough*).
Believe us, they can sacrifice the "leetness" of the crack to have one
earlier. Basically, we can describe them as gamers. Such people don't
sit 24/7 in a debugger to watch & jack-off how the crack is beautiful.
They want just to play the game. Just check the STANDARDS for the last
couple of years, we have all been tricked, but as long as it can be played,
then those 99% are happy.
As we said earlier it will be a never-ending journey to make such l33t
cracks for all the previous games which had ActiveMARK fixes or were not
cracked at all. Anyhow you're gonna take this task, we wish you all the
best.

3. Copy crack over and overwrite.

as well as the RELOADED iso and cracked v1.1 update by RELOADED,
just be sure to read above!
