already been heralded as one of the top ten games of 2005, and a
must-have for gamers around the globe!
R E L E A S E N O T E S
Ok so no crack yet but nevermind, the game is in need of a patch
so that is the main reason behind releasing this mini-image rip,
when a patch arrives you can update the game without any problems
as this Civilization4.exe has not been modified at all.
Its a bit of a chew on to get this goin but once it is its well
worth it :) (Will be even better with a patch!)
S E T U P
1. Unpack into a directory called "Sid Meier's Civilization IV"
2. Run SPiTFiRE.bat
3. Accept reg entries
4. Extract "CIV4_Miniimage_by_Pr1m45.rar" (Its 1GB however XP
users can recover that space, keep reading), select the .mdf
file, right click -> Properties -> Click the Advanced button,
check the option "Compress contents to save disk space", click
apply and the size on the disk should fall dramatically but
still act as a 1GB file.
5. Mount the mini-image with Daemon Tools v3.47 and run
"virtual-cd-hide.exe" right click the new system tray icon and
click "Hide all virtual drives".
6. Start the game with CivilizationIV.exe (A pop-up will warn you
that your movie files are not installed correctly just keep
clicking, once its loaded exit the game, use the new shortcut
created "_Civ4Config" find the following lines:
PlayMusic = 1
Change to:
PlayMusic = 0
And:
NoMovies = 0
Change to:
NoMovies = 1
7. Step 5 needs to be repeated every time you want to play but the
rest does not.
8. Start the game again and enjoy!
