Game Notes

Changes in the V1.02.16 patch:

The following hot-keys for Voice-Over-Net are enabled:
Keypad /     - Select Last Talker
Keypad *     - Display Last Talker
Keypad +     - Un-mute Selected Player
Keypad ENTER - Push To Talk
Keypad DEL   - Break Talker (Interrupt incoming message)
Keypad 0     - Mute Current Talker
Keypad -     - VON Display (This currently takes you to the VON page in
the Commander's Map)

In addition, the default settings for Voice-Over-Net have been adjusted
in the player save files. The VON record volume should now default to
half (instead of 0), and Full Duplex should now be the default.

Higher Resolutions in Hardware Mode
Resolution was originally limited to 640x480 when running with Direct3D
hardware support enabled. Now players who want higher resolutions should
be able to select 800x600 and 1024x768 in hardware mode after applying
the update.

Installation & Rip Info

Unzip, extract into the game dir, overwrite existing files.
Run patch.bat

This update works fine on both rip and iso.

General Comments

To simplify, this update works with any previous version of the game.

There seems to be some confusion about multiplayer. It does work fine but
with the restriction that all players must use the ripped version. This
is true both for IPX LAN games and games connecting via NovaWorld.
This restriction is due to verification done to prevent cheating, if the
client and servers differ, the client will be kicked.
When NovaLogic stops releasing a patch a day and the dust settles we will
investigate this further and release a fix that lets you play the game in
a mixed ISO/rip environment.

People keep asking why 3D acceleration with their 3dfx Voodoo cards
doesn't work. The hard truth is that 3dfx cards arn't supported. Read
