As the newly installed dictator of an obscure
Caribbean island, build a path of progress for a
nation mired in poverty, civil unrest and
infighting. Oh, and uhh... stash a few million in
your Swiss bank account just in case you need to
take early retirement.
Tropico takes the addictive building-oriented
gameplay of hits such as SimCity 3000 and Railroad
Tycoon 2, combined with a healthy dose of Latin
American political intrigue, and bundles it up in
an easy-to-learn, hard to master, utterly
addictive package.
UPDATE FEATURES:
- Greatly enhanced the capabilities of the editor
(and made the game able to use those enhance-
ments). All new maps put out by PopTop will req.
the 1.03 version of Tropico to run or even be
visible in the map load screen.
- Fixed a clipping problem with the 'Reduced
Graphics Shifting' option (which is primarily
intended for Voodoo 3 and PowerVR based video
cards.)
- Fixed city renaming - you should now be able to
consistently click on a city to rename it.
EXTRA NOTES:
Look for news of new map releases on poptop.com
- we hope to release several new maps over the
next few weeks.
The 1.03 version of Tropico can load all saved
games and maps created with earlier versions of
Tropico. However, saved games and maps created
with the 1.03 version of Tropico CAN NOT be loaded
by earlier versions.
For further information on the 1.03 editor changes
, please get the latest version of the Tropico
editor files (tedit103).
INSTALL NOTES
1. UnRar!
2. Install the update by clicking the 3 files
inside the RAR (not TROPICO.EXE) one by one.
3. Copy TROPICO.EXE from the RAR to the Game DIR.
