"No one alive remembers who launched the first missiles, but in the
chain reaction that followed the face of the Earth was changed
forever. Those who avoided a radioactive fate were no more fortunate,
as the conventional weapons of every nation were brought into the
fray. The arrival from space of the Raksha colony ships could not
have been timed better. All of Earth's forces were too weak to
resist. Before long, all was lost..."
So begins the story of Alien Earth. Years later, humans are either
enslaved by the Raksha using mind control, or live in special
preserves. The secrets of technology have been lost, replaced
by reverence towards the things made by "the ancients", without
understanding. Few even remember the time before the Raksha domination
began.
You are Finn, a young man living in a primitive village. You have
been selected to be the prey in a deadly Raksha sport. Released into
the jungle to run for your life, you must face the dangerous mutations
brought about by man's nuclear assaults. But even worse, you are
being hunted by a Raksha lord, one of the most powerful and vicious
of the aliens. In the eyes of the village, you are a dead man, but
you are determined to beat the odds and escape and perhaps even find
out what lies beyond the jungle. Stories told by the villagers speak
of great ruined cities and even more wonderous things. Will you
survive to find out?
The game follows in the footsteps of Beam's highly acclaimed
"Shadowrun", a Super Nintendo game that was highly praised in virtually
all industry reviews. It is in many ways a successor to Shadowrun...
not a sequel but designed on the Shadowrun model, with visual and
sonic enhancements to take full advantage of the power of today's
state-of-the-art computers.

Installation & Rip Information
Ripped: Movie intro and cutscenes and music. EVERYTHING else has
been left in the game (speech, SFX, graphics) to maintain
playability. Look for our music add-on to enhance your
gameplay!
This game is a MONSTER due to it's usage of hi-color 16-bit graphics
and TONS of speech (with no subtitles, therefore we had to keep it
in the game). You need at least 450M of free hard drive space to
run the game: the initial install of it is 360M, but the game requires
about 80M of temporary space for its internal graphic caching. Trust
us...its worth it. The graphics in this game are WICKED.
To install the game, simply unzip all of the .ZIPs into a temporary
directory, make a directory to hold the game in (e.g. C:\AE), then
unrar the RARs into the new directory:
unrar x -v -y alienear.001 c:\ae
After the game has been decompressed (it takes a while =), run
SETUP.EXE to configure the registry settings then just run ALIEN.EXE
to play the game!

and the README.TXT in your Alien Earth directory for more details.
Since this game makes exclusive use of 16-bit hi-color graphics,
you must have your display settings in 16-bit mode to play the game.
If you don't know what your settings currently are, right-click on
your desktop, pick Properties then pick Settings. Again, see the
README.TXT for more information on this.

January 28th 1997 is a date we will always remember. Almost exactly
one year ago FBI's Operation Cyberstrike took place. We would like
to salute and honor all them who have been busted throughout the years
and to EVERYONE who sacrificed something for the benefit of the scene.
Thereby we dedicate this release to you. Long live la familia!
A couple of weeks ago The Punisher retired from the leadership position
of RAZOR 1911. I would just take this moment to thank him for his
continued support throughout the years and his constant motivation,
