Description.:
Ok, so here's the story. Not so far into the future, a comet is
careening towards the Earth, but rather than obliterating all human
life (which would have made a rather short game), it instead passed
close by and littered the surface of the planet with meteorites.
Then, research staff who were assigned to examine the meteorites
mysteriously stop responding to communications, as do police and
military units sent in to investigate. It's time for you, you lucky
thing, as a member of an elite strike force to go in there and
sort it out.
Game Features.:
Missions range from your typical scientist rescue to taking
alien-held bases, as you attempt to reclaim the world from the slimy
invaders. The most appealing ingredient is the solidity of the world
you interact with.
The motion of the camera can be disconcerting to begin with, but it
gradually grows on you, and the fluidity of movement, weapon-firing,
and sniper-functions truly draw you into the game.
The graphics engine boasts directional lighting, dynamic color
illumination, volumetric fog, realistic water surfaces, and figures
comprising up to 1000 polygons, wrapped in a stunning particle system
explosion system. In practice, it all looks very nice.
This was cloned with CloneCD 3.* so use 3.* for best results.
