RELEASE NOTES:

The original version of this  game (Empire Earth) was our second favorite real
time strategy game (for multiplayer at least) of all  time. The only game that
it was second to was Starcraft, no game has ever compared to Starcraft for us.
So! We felt obligated to deliver a public server patch in an expedient manner,
allowing everyone to enjoy this great game to the fullest, as we feel the real
value in this game is the multiplayer.

Sorry Vivendi/Sierra.  People, if you do enjoy this game you really should buy
it. It's a really quality game.

This patch will allow you to host games that show up in the public server list
and will allow  anyone with this  patch to play  on your server,  legit key or
otherwise.

You need a GameSpy Arcade account to login to the server list.  When you login
to GameSpy Arcade the  game does  not authenticate your CD Key,  only when you
attempt to actually play a game - so,  no worries,  you can still create a new
GameSpy Arcade account even without a valid CD Key.

Both the  host and  the client  need this patch to play.  This is  because our
executable has  a different  CRC  value  than  either the legit or non-patched
executables.  A nice feature of this game  is that it  happens to grey out any
game that has a different CRC comparison on the client side -  so only cracked
servers will be joinable to you when you use this patch, and should be easy to
spot as they will be the only non-grey ones.

The version of the crack that we're distributing  at the moment (this one) was
done many hours ago, and since then we've been trying to make an universal CRC
fix to allow anyone to (with  the  legit executable  CRC or  with the RELOADED
CRC) play on the server. So far we've failed, and we have no idea if sooner or
later we'll actually  be able to accomplish it.  Because it seems that a large
number of people have been waiting  all day for this crack,  we decided to put
it out, as is,  with this long  note about how both  the client and the server
need it to play. Simply "matching" the CRC sent by the server executable would
not be enough here, as that would either exclude RELOADED cracked players from
play or would exclude legitimite players. That being said, we're still working
on creating an universal CRC fix, but we cannot make any guarentees on whether
it's possible or not. This will have to hold you out until then (if it happens
at all).

Unfortunately because of this CRC check, unpatched clients will not be able to
play on your patched server, with this patch at least. Simply: Both the client
and the server need this patch to play.
