Another fine BD25 release which has everything intact, meaning menu and
extras are there (and ofc the movie is too ;p).
Since there are no ruleset for BLURAY releases, we thought we'd make
a draft until there are some real rules, feel free to make suggestions.
Possible ruleset for BLURAY releases (2009/01/31):
Encoding:
This should be encouraged as long as BD dual-layer media is expensive.
* x264 (revision 1082 or later) and 2-passes must be used.
* A minimum of 3 ref frames and subme 7 must be used for encoding.
* The encoding process must respect Level 4.1, meaning that 5 ref frames can't be used.
* Any intros/outros or betweenos are strictly prohibited.
Tagging:
* A non-encoded BLURAY release that fits BD-R/E media, should be labeled
BLURAY.BDR.
* An encoded BLURAY release must fit BD-R/E media (single-layer) and
should be labeled BLURAY.BD25
* Suggestion for tagging:
Movie.name.YEAR.<MULTI/SUBS>.<COMPLETE>.BLURAY.<BDR/BD25>-GROUP
Packing:
* 250MB archives should be used for BDR/BD25 releases, 300/400/500MB
should be used depending on size for non-BDR/BD25. If a release is 35GB,
you'll go with 400MB archives, if it's 45GB, you'll go with 500MB archives and so on.
* Sample, nfo and sfv are required for each release.
- nfo should contain languages, subtitles and bitrate as mininum information.
* Recovery record MUST be used.
* Passwords or encryption is not tolerated.
* Compression is NOT allowed.
* Release must be in .iso/.img format and UDF 2.50.
