Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue was a Public
Service Announcement about the dangers of drug
use by young teens. Hosted by former President
Bush, the show profiled Michael, a boy who has
become so engrossed in his addiction to drugs
that he resorts to stealing money from his
little sister's piggy bank. To save Michael,
cartoon characters from almost all the Saturday
morning cartoons of the 1980s come to life and
show Michael the dangers of his habits. They
show him how his addiction runs his life and
hurts the people around him.
Featuring ALF, Muppet Babies, Slimer,
Garfield, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Bugs Bunny,
Daffy Duck, The Chipmunks, The Smurfs, Huey,
Dewey and Louie, Michaelangelo of the Teenage
Mutant Ninja Turtles, and introducing George
C. Scott as Smoke.

When you put iconoclasts like Barbara Bush
and Ronald McDonald together, you know change
is a-comin'. Twenty years on, drugs have been
entirely eradicated in the US, and kids of the
80s are now teaching their own children that
smoking a joint and sipping a brewski will kill
you dead and destroy your family! Take it from
someone who knows all about smoking crack and
shooting juice. You know, like Papa Smurf or
Winnie the Pooh!

Oh, and before you get all hot and bothered
about the size of this baby, and get your
sweaty finger on that nuke button of yours..
Kindly allow us to point out that 233MB *is*
technically the appropriate size. The TXD
formula declares a max size of 208MB. 175MB
just makes for a really shitty bitrate, and
oversizing a half hour long VHSRip by 142MB
just to please the rules would be god damn
insanity. Sometimes common sense needs to
override rigid rules; deal with it.
WHO WE ARE
Since 2003 we have been dedicated to preserving
the neglected titles of an entertainment era long
gone. A time of classic kids flicks, painstaking
hand-drawn animation and countless cheesy low-
budget horrors. A time when pop had a King, and
rock had a Queen. A time when special FX wizards
ruled, and CGI was just one of their many tools.
Driven by nostalgia and memories of better
days, we seek to relive those times, and share
those memories. While our belief is that the
80s represent the very pinnacle of pop culture,
we will not limit ourselves to one decade, or
any single genre. We will not ignore the movies
considered insignificant or even embarrassing by
the studios. We will not disregard a timepiece
just because it is dated.
Whereas most groups stick to digital sources,
there are still thousands of rare and out of
print titles, many of which have no planned
digital release. We've made it our mission to
dig these out, clean them up using the best
hardware and techniques available to us, and
share them with the world. Be it VHS, Laserdisc
or more exotic formats, we're here to bring you
the best (and worst!) of decades past. So sit
back and enjoy as we uncover and pay tribute
to an age of cinema we will never get back.
