PLOT/CAST:
Anthropologists take a trip to the jungles of Colombia to
study native cannibals. Instead, they find a band of drug
dealers, using the natives to harvest the cocoa leaf.
After awhile, the natives are tired of being tortured slaves,
and turn on their masters, as well as the anthropologists,
thus filling the screen with gruesome splatter!

RiPPER COMMENTS:
This release propers the old MEDiAMANiACS rip:
2001-10-10 Cannibal.Ferox.1981.DVDivX-MEDiAMANiACS
576x384 (1.50:1) DivX3 937 kbps / 25fps / MP3 CBR 2ch 128kbit 48kHz
Among the flaws we've been able to spot in that encode
were: bad AR, ghosting, interlaced frames, jerkiness, sound
out of synch and stereo for mono. As horrible as we suppose
their source was, it doesn't explain all of the forementioned
errors.
This rip comes from the Sazuma Ultrabit Limited Tin Edition,
which has the best transfer of all DVD's of this movie
produced so far. Both video and sound completely remastered,
therefore we kept the audio as stereo - audible in the sample.
The old MM sample matching ours is provided as well.
This movie and Ruggero Deodate's Cannibal Holocaust are my
two personal faves from the splatter genre. Umberto Lenzi also
made Eaten Alive, another cannibal 'classic'. No need to
mention that if you're not into gore or animal cruelty, you'll
be better off not watching any of these movies, especially this
one.
