Plot outline .:
"Deficit", which was based on the television project
Ruta 32, is not a plot driven film. It isn't really
character driven either. It has been compared to the
Alan Cumming and Jennifer Jason Leigh film "The Anni-
versary Party", but I personally think the similar-
ities between the two party films stops abruptly
with the drug-induced long day's journey into night
vehicle they both use. "Deficit" to me was more remi-
niscent of Larry Clark's "Kids." Both are message
films that are mostly fun and voyeuristic about
aimless youth. The movies also climax with explosive
finales.
"Deficit" isn't quite the kick to the gut "Kids" was
but it does leave you reflecting on how you live
your own life and the way you treat others.

NAPPY NEWS YEAR!
More importantly, this movie is somewhat of a hard nut
to crack and despite counseling from several people
with extensive knowledge in filters and whatnot we
were eventually unable to get this perfect. We did use
srestore but it still exhibits some flaws.
Should that stop us from releasing? I think not. There
are countless of releases from only the last few months
that has been badly ivtc'd but that COULD have been
properly restored with filters. I am mentioning our
attemps of clearing this source here so that nobody
rushes to the red button and nuke this without even
checking out the source first. If someone can find a
better source DVD I welcome a proper, but to nuke this
with no better rip or chance of 100% restoring would b
kind of pointless.
And lastly, thank you people who helped with this.
I would also like to thank the old people for a great
year and all new acquaintances as well. You know who
you are!
