Basically, this is not a featurette but rather is what
in writers parlance would be a first draft. This is a
full length storyboard cut of the film put together
to show how the film would look in broad terms.
Whilst the concept of storyboards is quite familiar,
this is the most imaginative use of the concept on a
DVD I have seen so far. Sure, being a rough cut,
the animation is generally very crude and colourless
(although some is virtually finished stuff in full colour),
but it is fascinating to see how the original
storyboard concepts then translated into the final
fully animated feature.

Probably its only interesting after youve watched the
original movie or if you are really interested in sketch
stuff or maybe both :P
We've included directors comment audio track. To get it
running with the video just decompress extras.rar in
same dir as you have the original rough cut movie in
(ils.heavy.metal.rough.cut.1981.dvdrip.xvid.avi) and then
just run the file "get.dir.comment.bat" ! //Enjoy !
