Subtitles.....: No
Notes: a few things...
Region B of this BluRay comes at 24fps and DTS 5.1 @ 768 kbps audio.
So this is actually better audio quality than AAA's.
No english subtitles for region B, just as AAA's.
Yet, this is also better video quality as being crf 17 (which provides
better and smarter quality/size ratio than 2pass). Plus, you get better
encode settings (preset slower) than the poor ones defined by the rules...
Mention goes to... this is encoded at 808px height after croping just to
respect the widest mod16/8 rule... which is pointless nowadays. We probably
won't be doing this anymore. With proper croping, completely removing black
borders without resizing, this would go at 804px height. Aside of mod16/8
being useless as of 2020, proper croping and completely removing black
borders also results in better size and better profit from final size,
sometimes even being a significant improvement.
See this movie video track for example:
Encoded at 1920x808 for widest mod16/8 it results in 7.63 GiB.
Encoded at 1920x804 after completely croping black borders it results in 6.67 GiB.
Both at CRF 17 preset slower. So this is almost 1 GiB profit and improvement!!

So... what we would like to suggest is a ruleset update with the following:
- Mandatory CRF 17 for 1080p and CRF 18 for 720p encodes. No one cares about
file size nowadays as no one is burning anything into discs anymore. Use
smart encoder decisions.
- No setting can go below of the defined by preset slow. Subme 7 and trellis 1
are a joke these days, specially when combined with CRF. Go get a modern CPU.
- No mod16/8 height. Absolutely outdated, even x264 itself removed the warning
about this in 2009.
Always completely remove black borders.
Crop only for 1080p releases, no resize.
Crop and resize to mod2 height for 720p releases.
Have anything to say? Find me... if you trully look for me, I'll always be there!
Enjoy and have a good time, amigo :)
