PLOT:
The film is in many ways difficult to describe.
Godfrey Reggio set the standard for this kind of film
-making with his 'Qaatsi' trilogy, but the imagery
used by Pummell is far more provocative. The
uncensored scenes of child birth are the most
striking. It is something that I haven't witnessed
with my own eyes, but seeing it in the film, it
struck me as possibly the most visceral experience
that a person can go through. It was both primal and
beautiful. The lingering close-up on a mother's tear
is the purest image that I've ever seen on-screen.
