M O V i E   S U M M A R Y

This is the third of the Val Lewton RKO horror films and the final one
directed by Jacques Tourneur, who set the pace for the future Val Lewton
productions. It is set in a quiet and peaceful New Mexico town where you
would expect nothing out of the ordinary to happen. Here Jerry Manning
(Dennis O'Keefe), manager of night club entertainer Kiki Walker (Jean
Brooks) rents a black leopard for a publicity stunt. Kiki enters the
club with the Leopard on a leash but the big cat is frightened away by
the castanets of Clo-Clo, a competitor to Kiki. When the Leopard kills
a young girl the town goes into a panic and two more murders occur,
both blamed on the Leopard. However Manning and Kiki have a suspicion
that these are murders done by someone who intentionally covers himself
by planting evidence to indicate the Leopard is responsible.

Except for appearing a bit soft, it's not too bad looking.
