Plot Outline  : Jesus Fanco's masterpiece of horrotica stars the
beguiling Soledad Miranda as the sexy vamp, Countess
Nadine. When Linda Westinghouse pays a visit to the
Countess on her island, she soon falls prey to the
seductive charms of her demonic host. Can she escape
the clutches of this blood-sucking vixen?

The source for this rip was the restored and remastered R2 PAL DVD
commisioned by Cine-International and Second Sight.

The quality of this DVD is superior to the R1 NTSC DVD by Synapse,
but for both DVDs an uncut German print of the movie was used.
The original Spanish version was heavily censored at the time.
However, since dialogue is rather sparse the dubbing won't become
annoying and is even unavoidable if you want to see this movie in its
uncensored form. English subtitles are included of course. You can

I believe the difference between both versions is substantial enough
to warrant an additional release of Las Vampiras (as the Spanish
is titled) should someone be in possession of the DVD. It would be
interesting to compare them.
Being one of Jesus Franco's better movies, it has aquired cult status
in the horrotico (horror+erotico) genre and also its weird soundtrack
is well known. Nothing left to say but ignore the IMDb score and enjoy
this excellent eurotrash!
