PLOT
In the frightening world of shadows, some shadows
hold the darkest nightmares. And this nightmare has
just began.
Enter a psychopathic killer, a spawn of hell
disguised as a priest who viciously stabs his victims
to death. The dead are the lucky ones. The unlucky
ones are those who survive.
Somewhere in the darkness something evil has risen
and it knows what scares you. There's nowhere to run,
nowhere to hide. It will haunt you. It survives on
fear. The innocent are at its mercy as it reaches
from the gates of hell in unholy union with the
devil-to devour, desecrate and capture your soul.
And it's chosen its victims. GOODNIGHT, GOD BLESS,
your nightmare has arrived.
RIP NOTES
Released theatrically as Lucifer in 1987 and on
VHS in the US as Goodnight God Bless in 1988, this
cheap British horror comes from none other than
Magnum Entertainment. A company well known for crap
films with deceptively alluring cover art. Goodnight
God Bless is no exception, displaying an eye catching
cover of its own while hardly matching up to it on
delivery. If for nothing else, watch this for the
opening scene involving a priest opening fire on a
group of young school children. While relatively tame
for horror this scene stands out when you consider
how sensitive a subject school massacres became in
the following decades.
As for the rip we've restored this NTSC source to
its original frame rate of 25fps and as always we've
cleaned it up as best we can. Enjoy and while you're
at it feast your eyes on the cover art:

WHO WE ARE
Since 2003, FLAiR has been dedicated to preserving
the neglected titles of an entertainment era long gone.
A time of classic kids flicks, painstaking hand-drawn
animation and countless cheesy low-budget horrors. A
time when pop had a King, and rock had a Queen. A time
when special FX wizards ruled, and CGI was just one of
their many tools.
Driven by nostalgia and memories of better days, we
seek to relive those times, and share those memories.
While our belief is that the 80s represent the very
pinnacle of pop culture, we will not limit ourselves
to one decade, or any single genre. We will not ignore
the movies considered insignificant or even embarrassing
by the studios. We will not disregard a timepiece just
because it is dated.
Whereas most groups rely solely on digital sources,
there are still thousands of rare and out of print
titles, many of which have no planned digital release.
We've made it our mission to dig these out, clean them
up using the best hardware and techniques available to
us, and share them with the world. Be it VHS, Laserdisc
or more exotic formats, we're here to bring you the best
(and worst!) of decades past. So sit back and enjoy as
we uncover and pay tribute to an age of cinema we will
never get back.
THANKS
To everyone that has supported us over the years and
managed to keep this fun!
