Jazz legend Louis Armstrong left behind an incredible legacy following his untimely death in 1971.
GREATEST PERFORMANCES spans four decades of performances from the man they called "Pops," and shows
exactly why he is still so respected in the jazz world and beyond. The program begins with a few choice
cuts from the 1930s, which find Armstrong performing early songs such as "Dinah" and "Tiger Rug." Clips from the
'40s, '50s, and '60s follow, and Armstrong is joined by a few special guests, including Bing Crosby
and George Shearing, as the collection continues.
