NOTES:
George Clinton and Parliament / Funkadelic bring the party to the Montreux Jazz
Festival in this 2004 appearance. At almost 2 1/2 hours long, this performance
is both an audio and visual assault on the senses, as Clinton and company fuse
together R&B, Funk, and Soul music. An overcrowded stage of singers, dancers
and musicians give a high-energy performance, proving that George Clinton &
Parliament / Funkadelic are as viable today as they were 30 years ago. The
bonus segment features other portions of this 2004 appearance.
George Clinton & Parliament / Funkadelic have received a number of honors over
their career. They are 1997 Rock And Roll Hall of Fame Inductees. They have
earned a Lifetime Achievement Award from the NAACP's Image Awards. And in 2002,
Spin Magazine ranked them #6 on their 50 Greatest Bands of All Time list.
NOTE TO GROUPS WHO ENCODE MDVDR/DVDR to XViD or x264 for MV section
or otherwise:
There are NO groups that have PERMISSION to take our rips, as of now
(16 October 2009) we do our own encodes for MV/XViD sections (and have
been for a while now). Some groups USED TO HAVE permission, but DO NOT
anymore.
