PLOT
With his ingenious plans to control the weather, software
billionaire Robert Terrell (Treat Williams from Everwood)
wants to change the world. But his insane experiments threaten
to destroy it when the weather goes wild, hurtling the planet
toward destruction - hurricanes change course, winds go
instantly from hot to cold, torrential rains bring regions to
a standstill, and buildings crumble into ruins under explosive
lightening storms. Only one scientist, Dr. Jonathan Kirk
(James Van Der Beek from Dawson's Creek) and a renegade news
anchor (Teri Polo from Meet the Fockers) have the courage and
the wits to save the planet, and reverse the storm's
devastating path of destruction.
EPISODE SUMMARY
Megastorm, Part 1
Scientist Kirk Hafner attempts to stop billionaire Robert
Terrell from destroying the earth with his "weather creation"
technology. Terrell's determination to manipulate the weather
causes catastrophic weather conditions -- a combination of
hurricanes, sandstorms, and drastic temperature changes that
cause panic and hysteria across the globe. Hafner employs the
help of news reporter Danni Nelson to aid him in exposing
Terrell's quest. Complications arise when seemingly
trustworthy authority figures aren't who they initially
appeared to be.
