Jan, Peter and Jule are living out their rebellious youth. They
are united by their passion to change the state of the world.
Jan and Peter become "The Edukators," mysterious perpetrators
who non violently warn the local rich their "days of plenty are
numbered." Complications follow when vulnerable Jule ends up
falling for both young men. Reckless choices result in danger.
An operation gone wrong and what was never intended to be a
kidnapping brings the three young idealists face to face with
the values of the generation in power.

RIPPER NOTES:

Help for Africa will be high on the agenda of the G8 summit in
Gleneagles this week. Blair, Chirac, Putin, Schröder, Bush,
Koizumi, Berlusconi, Martin and Barroso are meeting in the
scotish castle to discuss the future of the world. But it is not
clear that debt relief (damanded by the Edukators in this movie
as well) or even substantially increased aid flows, will be
enough to produce success where so many previous development
efforts have failed. It's ridicilous that this relief is being
praised as the big step by the leaders. In fact it's the minimum
they could do. It's just about giving back money legally stolen
from African society with the tools of the neoliberal system.
There's much more needed than giving presents to developing
countries. They need to be able to earn the money themselves, be
able to develop themselves in the direction they want and to be
able to live without being told what to do by industrialized
countries. Bob Geldof'S Live Aid for sure isn't the way to bring
African requests to the public. The G8 must invite African
leaders to their meetings and not execlude them on the discussion
of their own future. Plus Bush, Blair and Co need to listen to
the people taking the streets these days and hear what solutions
they bring up for this topic.
Team QiX cares a lot about the problems of the world we actually
live in. We would love everybody to watch this movie. Make you
think about what's going on and the recent G8 events. Maybe it
helps changing your mind and join the fight for a just world!
