Ripper Notes
http://us.imdb.com/Title?0267287 -- For cast/plot/etc.
OK, for the record, this is NOT Barry Levinson's family-
drama "Avalon" from 1990. This is Mamoru Oshii's excellent
sci-fi thriller and his first movie as a director since
"Kokaku Kidotai" (Ghost In The Shell) six years ago.
The movie is often listed as having a 1.85:1 aspect ratio,
but the fact is, that it's more like 1.74:1. The transfer
on the DVD was window-boxed, probably to avoid loosing image
information when watched on a television (because of the TVs
overscan) So I kept the original AR, and cropped away the
black bars on the sides, and on the top and bottom.
And no, there's nothing wrong with your monitor :) , most of
the movie is purposely in a stage of yellowish/purple tint.
I hope you enjoy this release :) And if you love the movie
half as much as I do, run and buy the excellent DVD,
which contains a spectacular Dolby Digital 6.1 EX track! :)

EPiC Notes
We are imposing a new set of rules which we obviously hope
others will follow. We respect the TDX rules, but are
changing/adding a bit.
For DivX we intend to follow:
- The directory name for DivX are tagged with STV if
* there has been NO US THEATER release NOR one planned!
* the movie came out to video or were shown on US TV
before theater.
- The directory name for DivX are tagged with LIMITED if
* the movie has been shown in less than 500 US theathers
* the movie is going to be shown with less than 500 US screens
- The directory name for DivX are NOT tagged if
* the movie has not been out for more than a month on DVD in US
and the movie has more than or equal to 500 screens in US
* the movie is a classic released on screen before 2000 in US
or the DVD has been out more than a month in US
- We're following other groups and using DVDivX simply to short the
dirname. DVDRip.DivX-GROUP says no more than DVDivX-GROUP.
- As far as the YEAR-tag the TDX rules apply!
* thus a title could be: Movie.Name.STV.2001.DVDivX-GROUP
Movie.Name.LIMITED.2000.DVDivX-GROUP
Movie.Name.DVDivX-GROUP
Movie.Name.1945.DVDivX-GROUP
For SVCD we intend to follow:
- The use of YEAR and TAG are used as with DivX!
- Instead of SVCD.DVDRip-GROUP we intend to use SVCDVD-GROUP
As a final note we rearranged the nfo to cut away useless info!
So use imdb or google to find the cast, reviews, etc.
