Feature-length drama depicting the life and times of Britain's first
warrior queen, Boudica. Boudica's husband Prasutagus, chief of the
Iceni tribe, makes an uneasy pact with the Roman invaders. When he
dies, Boudica attempts to renegotiate the truce - but the Romans do
not negotiate and she pays a terrible personal price. Refusing to
cave in, she gathers support from neighbouring tribes and begins to
fight back against the invaders.
