P L O T

A bookie's life is transformed by a lovable
orphan in this classic heart-warmer starring
the irresistible Shirley Temple. Grumpy
Sorrowful Jones's (Adolphe Menjou) world turns
upside down when a strapped gambler gives Jones
his little girl as debt collateral and never
returns. Chirpy Miss Marker (Shirley Temple)
spreads sunshine all over Jones's grimy
