The film starts in the Belgrade army hospital where
casualties of Bosnian civil war are treated. In the
hospital they remember their youth and the war. The
main focus is on two young boys, Halil (Nikola
Pejakovic), a Muslim, and Milan (Dragan Bjelogric), a
Serb, which have grown up together near a deserted
tunnel linking the Yugoslav cities of Belgrade and
Zagreb. They never dare go inside, as they believe an
ogre resides there. Twelve years later, during the
Bosnian civil war, Milan, who is trapped in the tunnel
with his troop, and Halil, find themselves on opposing
sides, fatefully heading toward confrontation.

From an IMDB reviewer:
"A lot things must have gone wrong while making this DVD.
The picture looks awful. The resolution is very low,
contrast and shadow detail are quite bad, and there are
lots of severe motion artifacts. These look not like
compression artifacts, but rather like some kind of
PAL-NTSC transcoding problems. The soft picture could
also be a hint that this title was transcoded. This
master was probably made for some VHS tapes on a
composite format. It also shows many cross-color effects.
Further disappointing are the subtitles, which are in the
video instead of the subtitle channel. The sound is
equally bad as the picture."
* The picture has an aspect ratio of 1.78:1. The subtitles
are hardcoded in the video and extend beyond this region.
Therefore, we used an aspect ratio closer to 1.66:1
