Need a cure for crime? Meet Marion "Cobra" Cobretti,
the strong arm of the law. Much like Rambo with a
badge, Cobra takes on crooks other cops run from.
Between shoot-'em-ups, Cobretti tries to protect the
lovely Ingrid from a Charles Manson-like gang of
radicals bent on creating a new world order.

The custom Merc driven by Cobretti in the film was a car
actually owned by star Sylvester Stallone. The studio
produced stunt doubles of the car for use in some of the
action sequences, such as the jump from the second floor
of the parking garage.
"Cobra" was based on a novel "Fair Game" by Paula Gosling.
In 1995 William Baldwin and Cindy Crawford made "Fair
Game," which was also based on the same novel by Paula
Gosling.
Sylvester Stallone was offered the role of Axel Foley in
Beverly Hills Cop (1984), but passed to star in this
movie instead.
Goofs: Axes beating out of sync in a closeup.
The car's rear window repairs itself after being
broken.
After returning from the shoot out at the supermarket,
Cobra places his gun on the kitchen table to reload.
After taking out new bullets he removes the gun from
his pants instead of taking it off the table. When ramming a road block, the truck turns from red to
blue and back to red.
Edits: A short sequence where Stallone douses a bad guy
with petrol, sets him alight, and utters "You have the
right to remain silent" was removed from the UK
version.
Television version features previously cut scene
showing the Nightslasher at his job cutting up fish.
Also in the television version is a previously cut
scene where Cobra and Marion have a brief conversation
with law enforcement officials in the factory after
killing the Nightslasher.
Technical notes: The first scene release of this was done
by VCDVault; was FS, and undersized at 528mg. The
sample of that is included.
