| This film is based on the novel by Charles Nordoff and James Norman |
| Hall and is a John Ford (director) classic. Almost the entire water |
| supply from Los Angeles was used in order to produce the hurricane |
| scene, which is still acclaimed by todays special effects kings.
| Frank Loesser, known later for score to "Guys And Dolls" and "Most |
| Happy Fellow" wrote the song that was used as the theme of the film |
| and became a popular tune of the time; "The Moon of Manakoora".
