R E L E A S E  N O T E S

The very first script was titled "Beyond Dead" and was
written in 2003. The first script focused on the start of
the epidemic and making its origins unknown. In early 2005,
the script was revised and the plot was set a year after
the outbreak, because of the budget constraints this script
was revised again, and portions of the original Beyond Dead
script was incorporated in the revised script. Won "BEST
ZOMBIE MOVIE" at the 2006 Fright Night Film Festival in
Louisville, KY. The Fright Night Film Fest was the first of
13 film festivals to show Deadlands: The Rising, and the
film won an award during its first festival.
