M O V i E   S U M M A R Y

Edited from 2 of the 5 TV shows from the hit Disney TV series (Davy
Crockett's Keelboat Race and Davy Crockett and the River Pirates) from
1954/55 into a feature length film, this cashed in on the enormous
popularity of the series in the US at the time. While featuring more
comedy than the other film (DC, King Of The Wild Frontier) made from
the series, and pitched perhaps towards a slightly younger audience,
it's nevertheless quite entertaining. First Davy runs into the legendary
braggart and boatman Mike Fink, winds up racing him down the Mississippi
River, and later, after their friendship is established, the two team
up to tackle a gang of river pirates dressed as Indians.

N O T E S

Both DVDEmpire and the review cited claim the DVD has DD 1.0 Mono audio.
And they're both wrong. It's DD 2.0. Although the original series was mono,
for the DVD the audio was remastered, and a stereo track with decent
separation was created.
