An American pulp writer arrives in post-WWII Vienna only
to find that the friend who waited for him is killed
under mysterious circumstances. The ensuing mystery
entangles him in his friend's involvement in the black
market, with the multinational police, and with his
Czech girlfriend.
NOTEES!
And so the tradition of internaling this damned
(though great) classic continues.
History course:
The.Third.Man.DVD.DivX.VM2-ELiTEiSO(1) is propered by
The.Third.Man.VM2.Proper-TRiPDivX(2) but is still not
ee ! quite valid. DDX(3) internals from a bad source that
wasn't treated right which adds another bad release
to the chain. Finally sph did it right and even did
include a commentary track.
*1 = should have been 1 cd (tdx2k1)
*2 = bad resolution (tdx2k1)
*3 = bad.ivtc (tdx2k2)
So what's the reason for this internal? Besides that
it's a new chance for ppl who hasn't archived sph:s
- --> release, it is also taken from the latest R1 reissue
- ---> of Criterions magnificently remastered disc.
What's inside:
(!) Video introduction by Peter Bogdanovich
(!) Two audio commentaries: one by filmmaker
Steven Soderbergh and screenwriter Tony
Gilroy, and one by film scholar Dana Polan
(!) Graham Greene: The Hunted Man, an hour-long,
1968 episode of the BBCs Omnibus series,
featuring a rare interview with the novelist
(!) Who Was the Third Man? (2000), a thirty-minute
Austrian documentary featuring interviews with
cast and crew
