After debuting at the 1999 Sundance
Festival to positive audience responses,
director Tony Bui's first feature-length
film "Three Seasons" went on to score a
hat-trick at the awards ceremony, picking
up the trophies for Best Cinematography,
Best Dramatic Picture, and the Audience
Award. A cinematic poem that works more as
a reflective mood piece than a traditional
story, Bui's lyrical script and Rinzler's
magical camera work combine to create an
original, lasting motion picture....
An extremely sophisticated, extremely
effective tear-jerker: extraordinarily
beautiful, finely crafted, and unabashedly
compassionate.

AR 1.66:1!? Yes, DVD was released as 1.66:1
non-anamorphic. We determined this was the proper AR
after cropping, but for all those nukers so they could
sleep better, we found the DVD info from Seville Studio
that released it. Info is in french, explaining why the
studio did 1.66:1 while canal+ aired the movie in 1.85
and still seems there's some confusion at what AR the
movie was originally shot, but this falls beyond our
concern and as DVD AR is 1.66:1 our release also is
1.66:1. Also english subs are hardcoded on the DVD with
the original Vietnamese language. If you stil don't
