Ripper's Notes
The shooting technique in this film is like the silent picture with
few dialogues. The few quarrels in Georgian cannot affect the
comprehension of this film even without the subtitles. This DVD is
released by French company blaQout, and the original edition doesn't
contain any subtitles even when the dialogues in Georgian appear in
the film. From this aspect it also shows that we can have the good
comprehension of this film without any subtitles.
Otar Iosseliani shot such a great film at the age of 27. The black and
white pictures are like the poem and the stories seems to be the fables
Besides these this film is pretty successful in composition of
pictures, sounds and scene controlling.
