That DVD-R was ok, video had lots of noise in it like a hdcam sometime has too, but steady like a
telecine.
audio also very nice, just slight noise in the background and oos on 2 spots.
There was some russian talk in the movie without any subs for it.
it was also brightened up too much, that black wasnt black anymore, didnt look good on my big tv.
firstly i lowered the brightness to get more black looking and tried to compensate with contrast for darker scenes.
Removed the noise in the video as much as possible and added slightly sharpness.
considering the source its ok now.
found full foreign subs for russian parts and played 4hours with timing and text till i realized someone was faster
and has translated the text already and timing was on point too, so i threw my subs away and took
them instead.
i tried placing them over the annoying chinese subs, didnt look nice, had no choice but to crop the chinese subs
away and hardcoded the english subs when needed. looks good now.
Video is a bit smaller now, but the annoying subs are gone at least.
cleaned the audio and fixed the 2 oos spots.
all in all watchable now till the retail hits in 1 month.
