Das Haus ihrer gerade verstorbenen Mutter ist ein hässlicher Ort für Annie, voller schlechter Erinnerungen. Eigentlich wollte sie hier nie wieder sein, aber nun sind zwei Frauen in diesem Haus verschwunden. Ihre Schwester Nicole und ihre Cousine Liz haben es betreten und sind nicht wieder aufgetaucht. Es gibt keinen Hinweis, keine Spur. Das Haus lässt auch Annie nicht los. Es beobachtet sie, berührt sie, legt kleine Spuren aus,  ffnet Türen und schleift sie auch mal mit brutaler Kraft durch die Zimmer. Langsam kommt Annie dem Rätsel auf die Spur.
