Gary Lineker, Clare Balding and Gabby Logan present this year's
ceremony live from the SSE Arena in Belfast, where the successor to
Lewis Hamilton will be crowned. Hamilton himself is among the 12
contenders, and will be hoping to land back-to-back wins at this
ceremony, having delivered another Formula 1 world title in 2015 to
maintain his recent dominance of the sport. The other nominees are
world champion athletes Jessica Ennis-Hill, Mo Farah and Greg
Rutherford, Davis Cup hero Andy Murray, footballer Lucy Bronze,
newly crowned world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, cyclists Chris
Froome and Lizzie Armitstead, swimmer Adam Peaty, gymnast Max
Whitlock and former Leeds Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield the first
ever candidate from rugby league. In addition, awards will be
handed out in categories such as Team of the Year, Coach of the Year
and Unsung Hero, and the Helen Rollason Award will be bestowed upon
someone who epitomises courage and has the ability to inspire others
